Making contact with a Palliative Care Volunteer
We accept referrals from:
- Palliative Care Team
- Doctors and community nurses
- Hospitals
- Social workers and occupational therapists
- Aged care providers
- Community support groups
- Anyone living in Dungog Shire with a life limiting illness
- Family or friends of the referee.
If you would like to know more about our service please contact our office directly or speak to your doctor, specialist or palliative care team member.
Visits can be made at a time suitable for everyone and can be changed as your needs change. Private interviews can be arranged if there is any issue you would like to discuss separately.
The service is there to assist you in your journey, for however long you or your carers require. If you wish for the volunteers to withdraw it is always your choice.
